Born and raised in Missoula, Montana, Landon has deep roots in the mountains. From 2004 to 2012, he competed on the U.S. Ski Team in Freestyle Moguls, earning a World Cup podium finish, multiple top-ten World Cup results, and several national championship podiums. He was also a member of the 2009 World Championship Team (Inawashiro Japan), representing the U.S. on one of the sport’s biggest stages.
Landon continues to share his passion for skiing through his work with the Missoula Freestyle Ski Team at Montana Snowbowl- sharing his knowledge and love of skiing with the next generation. With competitive mogul skiing behind him, he now finds joy in carving long turns, floating through deep powder, and letting out the occasional hoot and holler as he flows down the mountain.
When the snow melts, Landon’s passion for the outdoors continues. Summers are spent biking, trail running, hiking steep trails with an over-packed bag, fly fishing Montana’s rivers, and road-tripping to discover hidden corners of the state.
In addition to running the Jewel Basin Yurt, Landon owns and operates Western States Trailer in Missoula, where he works with several steel and aluminum trailer manufacturers to provide the best towing solutions available on the market today.
Above all, Landon is passionate about sharing Montana’s wild beauty with his family—his wife, Grace; their three children, Sawyer, Hazel, and Banks; and Hitch, their energetic border collie. Whether on skis, a trail, or a dusty back road, they’re always chasing the next great adventure together.
